A student-run coffee community at Uganda Christian University, brewing great coffee, exploring new flavours, and growing a vibrant coffee culture in the country that grows it. Brew it. Taste it. Learn it. Open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
The club began in April 2024, when officials from the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) visited the UCU Innovation Hub on 22 April and trained the first members. It was launched more broadly in June 2024.
We build togetherness and promote the education and appreciation of coffee in the university setting, giving students a platform to brew, host barista competitions and encourage coffee drinking among young people.
To promote Uganda’s rich coffee heritage through research, production, consumption and exportation, and to provide a collaborative space for students, faculty and coffee enthusiasts.

Our semester-based training equips members with practical coffee-making skills, from basic brewing techniques to preparing and serving quality coffee.
We combine coffee and creativity through interactive painting sessions that bring students together while raising funds for tuition. We have successfully held two editions so far.
We provide coffee service during UCU graduation ceremonies and student orientation, welcoming guests and new students with warm hospitality.
We participate in movie nights and Chaplaincy-led worship gatherings that encourage fellowship, relaxation, and meaningful connections among students.
From the Guild Freshers’ Ball to national and local sports events, we serve coffee and share Uganda’s coffee culture with the wider campus community.
We visit faculties and take part in graduation activities to promote coffee culture and connect with more students across UCU.
Everyone is welcome to visit the Hub to taste coffee or learn about brewing. Membership is open to UCU students only.
