Intakes

Advent/September Intake – Weekend at UCU-Kampala campus and Easter/January – Weekend at Mukono/Main campus

Minimum Requirement

In addition to the other University admission requirements for graduate Programmes, to qualify for admission to this Programme the candidate must:
• Have an undergraduate degree with a minimum second lower (2:2) from a recognized university; or

• Applicants without a second lower (2:2) are required to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration;
• Complete a University administrated Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with a pass mark of 60%.

Program Length

Two years, with maximum of four years to complete.

Programme Highlights

In line with its mission of becoming the leading provider of quality business education to the people in Uganda and the region, the Faculty of Business and Administration
at Uganda Christian University started a Master’s degree in Business Administration. This Programme is designed to provide advanced training for people of substantial competency and keen interest in the discipline of management and business administration and research methodologies. These areas are central for managing profitably and sustaining firms, gaining a firm understanding of the broad intellectual tradition of business management and administration, and being able to conduct excellent scientific research in business management and administration.

Courses

Coursework in the Programme includes, among others: management theory and practice, financial and management accounting, corporate governance, advanced project planning and management, business and company law, monitoring and evaluation, and business and company law.

Career Propects

Career prospects upon completing this degree can be found in local, national and international government, non-profit and private sectors with such titles as: accountant, business manager, corporate recruiter, finance officer, financial manager, financial analyst, human resource manager, management analyst, management consultant, and research analyst.
